We are a democratically run, member-led organisation – fully funded by our affiliate coops. For us to continue our work, run our events, build cooperation within London and campaign on behalf of the Capital’s housing coops we are reliant on our affiliation fees.

Unlike other membership organisations, at LFHC, we keep all of our events, forums, workshops, working groups, and initiatives totally free for our member co-ops and tenants to participate in.
You may have noticed that over the last year, we have ramped up our output and activity:
- An event every month since December 2025
- A new cooperative consortium for funding and project management
- We sit on the London Housing panel and play a leading role in engaging with the GLA, its housing strategy, and other housing organisations and campaigns
- We meet with government ministers
- We have regular dialogue with leading housing politicians, including the two most recent chairs of the GLA housing committee, who have both attended our meetings to hear directly from co-ops
- Engaging with research projectsBringing together a wide range of co-ops and tenants from across London to network and discuss the issues and challenges facing housing co-ops in London
We cannot afford to do this without your help! As a member-led organisation, all of this is open to our members. It is also all fully funded by our membership and the affiliation fees we collect once a year.
